England is the first from Europe to qualify for WC-2026. 28 participants of the tournament are already determined

The England national team, having defeated the Latvian team away yesterday (5:0), has secured the final first place in Group «K» of the WC-2026 qualifying tournament ahead of schedule, and with it, a direct ticket to the final part of the World Cup.

Notably, England was the first among the 16 representatives from Europe at WC-2026.

In total, as of today, the names of 28 participants of WC-2026 are known, which will feature 48 national teams, as a reminder.

Europe (1/16): England.

Africa (9/9): Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Ghana, Algeria, Cape Verde, South Africa, Senegal, Ivory Coast.

Asia (8/8): Japan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Jordan, South Korea, Australia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia.

South America (6/6): Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Uruguay, Colombia, Paraguay.

North America (3/6): USA, Canada, Mexico.

Oceania (1/1): New Zealand.

Additionally, two more teams will qualify for the World Cup from the playoffs.
