On the day of the 2026 World Cup qualifier Ukraine vs. Azerbaijan, a working meeting of the delegations of the Ukrainian Football Association and the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan took place in Krakow, Poland.

The Azerbaijani association, which expressed support for Ukrainians in their struggle against the aggressor, was represented by Vice-President Sarhan Hadjiyev, General Secretary Jakhangir Farajullayev, Deputy General Secretary Kamran Veliev, and advisor to the Vice-President Orkhan Akhmedov.
