Former Bulgarian national team midfielder Georgi Peev spoke about a conflict situation he found himself in when he played for Dynamo Kyiv.
Georgi Peev— The conclusion of my story related to «Dynamo» began after a fight in training. After a playing episode, there was a confrontation between the Croatian Leko and the Brazilian Kleber. I ran to separate them, tried to pull the Brazilian away, and he started pushing me. It all turned into a real fight, and we both ended up on the ground. Our head coach József Szabó got very angry and kicked me out of training.
And the next day, Kleber waited for me in his car in the parking lot and attacked me from behind, trying to kick me. A second fight happened.
The club fined me, even though all the players sided with me. And Szabó called me and Kleber to his office. As soon as the conversation started, the coach swore at me, defending the Brazilian, and in the end, I told Szabó that he was an idiot, that such an attitude towards me was unacceptable, and I left, slamming the door.
The Brazilian was removed from the squad, and I sometimes played and sometimes was left out of the squad as well. Eventually, I was loaned to Dnipro, where I played a whole season, and then I moved from «Dynamo» to «Amkar,» said Peev during the Bulgarian YouTube project «My Story.»
