UAF President Andriy Shevchenko explained why he decided to end his professional football career.
Andriy Shevchenko’I retired at 36. Health problems definitely played a big role. I had issues with my knees and back. But I am pleased with how I ended my career: I returned to play at my home club «Dynamo» and bid farewell to the national team of Ukraine at Euro 2012, hosted by Poland and Ukraine. I really liked that farewell,' Shevchenko said in a comment to Goal.pl.
