Liverpool’s head coach Arne Slot admitted that his team concedes too many goals this season.
Arne Slot— I think, compared to last season, we can say that we do not create as many chances, but our team still has the highest xG in open play and the highest number of shots, but we concede too many goals.
Nine goals conceded, including four from set pieces, even though set pieces were our strength. This does not reflect the number of chances we allow our opponents to create. The other five are two from quick breakthroughs and three from open play.
We allow too many crosses from the flanks, and this is one component we need to improve. As Virgil van Dijk said, it means that teams play against us differently than in the first half of last season, — said Arne Slot.
