— It seemed to us, at least, that the losses were too great. 15 players left us, mostly Brazilians. And «Dynamo» lost maybe two or three players. Their model was much more based on Ukrainian players than Shakhtar’s model.
But Jovicevic did a fantastic job — also in psychological terms. He united the locker room, breathed new spirit into us. And it was us who won the championship at that time, while in the Champions League we performed quite worthily: we drew with «Real,» defeated «Celtic,» and advanced from third place to the Europa League, — said the Donetsk native in an interview with Goal.pl.
