Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Mykola Mykhailenko commented on the match of the Ukrainian championship against Zorya (1:1).

— Well, what can I say… You saw it yourself during the game; we have a lot of chances, a lot of quality opportunities to score goals, but we can’t score. It turns out that we pay for it by conceding one goal. How many chances did they have in this game? Maybe two — one in the first half, one in the second.
— Once again the games develop according to the same scenario — we score first, and at the end of the match, we concede. Perhaps we need to score twice to concede one but still win?
— Of course, we need to score more than our opponents. If we know that every game has moments where we can concede, then indeed, we need to score more. What else can I say?
— Fans have suggested it would be better to lose twice than to draw five times — fewer points would be lost in that case...
— You know, there cannot be such a thing as «better» or «not better.» It is what it is. Life is such that you can’t rewind it back. We need to keep working.
-This match took place after a break due to national teams. It is usually difficult when everyone returns in different conditions. How did you prepare, how did you set up morally and psychologically?
— We prepared by trying to inject as much positivity as possible into the training process. I can’t say we were in a bad mood today. We succeeded in many things — there were good attacks, and good moments. But we lack the finishing touch to bring it to a logical conclusion.
— Zorya is usually an uncomfortable opponent for Dynamo; last season they caused you to lose points. What do they have that creates problems for you?
— A good team with fast players on the flanks. They play open football, transition well, and are quite organized. There is nothing surprising in that. But what’s unpleasant is that we don’t capitalize on our chances.
— Now Kryvbas has temporarily taken first place, and our next league game is against them. What are your expectations? Will it be no less difficult?
— We approach each game prepared. We want to play our game. We don’t watch who is where. We approach every game. We want to win. In principle, we have enough opportunities to win. But, as you see, something is missing. It’s up to the coaching staff to figure out what’s missing. And within the team, we need to figure it out together.
— The next match is in the Conference League. What are your expectations?
— I haven’t looked at the opponent yet, so I can’t say much. But there are no weak teams there. We’ll look, analyze and also set up to win. We’ll also try to show our best game.
