Kyiv «Dynamo», having drawn with Luhansk «Zorya» (1:1) in the 9th round of the Ukrainian championship yesterday, extended its winless streak in the national championship to five matches.
Photo — Yuriy YuryevThis way, the «white-blues» matched the club’s anti-record: the longest winless streak in the UPL for Dynamo’s history is exactly five matches. This previously happened only once, in 2017, when the capital team was coached by Alexander Khatskevich.
At that time, Kyivites drew in four matches («Veres» — «Dynamo» — 0:0, «Zorya» — «Dynamo» — 4:4, «Dynamo» — «Shakhtar» 0:0, «Karpaty» — «Dynamo» — 1:1) and lost once («Chornomorets» — «Dynamo» — 2:1).
Consequently, simultaneously with this, «Dynamo» set another club anti-record: for the first time in history, Kyivites drew five matches in a row in the UPL. Let us recall, before the draw with «Zorya», Alexander Shovkovsky’s team drew with «Obolon» (2:2), «Oleksandriya» (2:2), «Karpaty» (3:3), and «Metalist 1925» (1:1).
