Former Kyiv Dynamo forward Oleh Salenko, commenting on yesterday’s (1:1) draw in his former team’s match against Luhansk Zorya in the 9th round of the Ukrainian championship, explained why the «white-blue» have been unable to win in the UPL for the fifth match in a row.

There is a concept of a collective, and this concerns not only the players but also the coaching staff. Unfortunately, Dynamo doesn’t have this right now. Therefore, there’s no result. It’s simple.
Dynamo should always be Dynamo, and it doesn’t matter if it’s a match with Zorya, Shakhtar, or someone else. A strict coach is needed who can set up the entire process. As a former Dynamo player, I worry about the team and want Dynamo to be respected in Europe, but the club’s reputation has been long lost. How can you not win against Zorya, and before that, four more matches in the championship?
Maybe Dynamo will win in the next round, but that’s not a fact, as they play against the championship leader Kryvbas. And if the team cannot overcome a mid-table team, what thoughts should visit the „white-blue“ fans? For me, as a former Dynamo player, it’s a disgrace.
