Zorya Luhansk defender Igor Perduta summed up the results of his team’s match against Dynamo Kyiv (1:1) in the 9th round of the Ukrainian championship yesterday.

Yuriev«In the pre-match setup, our head coach Viktor Skrypnyk asked us to pay attention to the fact that when Dynamo players score first, they slow down, trying to maintain the winning result due to their class. But such a tactic often lets them down this season, although that’s a problem for the Kyivans.
It should be said that even with a draw, both teams created many goal-scoring chances, but this didn’t bring any dividends: sometimes we were unlucky in the finishing stage, or the goalkeepers were at their best. When Buyalsky put Dynamo ahead at the beginning of the second half, they somehow decided to manage the game calmly, as predicted by Skrypnyk, and misjudged.
We increased the intensity and, thanks to aggression on the flanks, took the initiative and were rewarded with Budkovskyi’s goal. Zorya did not lose to Dynamo again (in the second round of last season’s Ukrainian championship, Dynamo and Zorya also played to a draw, 2:2, — ed. note), and I believe that the draw result is fair,» said Perduta.
