Every day brings into the world several well-known people who have closely tied their lives to football:
Alexander KhatskevichAlexander Khatskevich (1973) — a former Belarusian footballer who played as a midfielder. A product of Minsk’s «Dynamo,» with whom he became a four-time champion and Belarus Cup winner.
However, Alexander achieved his greatest success in his football career while playing for Kyiv’s «Dynamo» under Valeriy Lobanovsky. A seven-time champion and four-time Ukrainian national cup winner. He was twice named Belarus’s best footballer. Khatskevich also played for China’s «Tianjin Kangshifu» and Latvia’s «Venta.»
He ended his career with Minsk’s «Dynamo» as a player-coach. Later, he coached the Belarus under-18 team and the national «Vitebsk.» In 2010, he returned to Ukraine and joined the coaching staff of the Ukrainian national team. He later led «Dynamo-2» and then the first team of the «white-blues.» Under his guidance, «Dynamo» won the Ukrainian Super Cup twice.
Currently, Khatskevich is the vice-president of «Polissya.»
