Did Aliyev serve in the Armed Forces: official response from the combat brigade

Former Dynamo player Oleksandr Aliyev has repeatedly been accused of fictitious service in the ranks of the Armed Forces. The ex-footballer himself denied all accusations of exploiting the military theme for publicity.

In an interview with Slava Dyonin, Oleksandr Aliyev stated that he continues to serve in the military. Channel 24 made an official request to the 112th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade regarding the service of the former Dynamo star. The Channel 24 editors received a response to the question of whether Oleksandr Aliyev served and is counted in the 112th OBTrB.

The former Dynamo footballer did indeed serve in this combat unit from 24.02.2022 to 22.03.2023. Subsequently, he was removed from the personnel list of the military unit. As of now, Aliyev is not serving in the mentioned military unit.
