David Beckham may become co-owner of Manchester United

Former Manchester United midfielder David Beckham may acquire a stake in the club.

According to the Daily Star, a consortium from the UAE has approached the Red Devils legend as they explore the possibility of becoming shareholders in the club. The consortium plans to purchase majority shares currently owned by the American Glazer family. They are interested in having Beckham act as an «ambassador» in upcoming negotiations. The Inter Miami owner will also have the opportunity to invest in the development of Manchester United.
