The Dutch coach Patrick van Leeuwen, who currently heads «Kryvbas», shared his thoughts on the successful start of the season in the Ukrainian championship.
Patrick van Leeuwen«At the beginning of the season, we didn’t know where our team would be. Many players changed, we rebuilt a lot, changed the structure of our game. So it was difficult to predict where we would actually be. However, considering the level of energy we put into our work, our current position doesn’t surprise us. It’s our reward for all the work we’ve done, and we’re enjoying this moment.
Each game is a challenge for us. We play in our own style and we are progressing. We try to find space in building our opponents, and we always work on this during training. My players are very energetic in training and matches. In other teams, I’ve seen attempts to play in a similar style. But we want to play attacking football.
Which match of my team did I like the most? Probably the match against „Zorya“. We realized our team’s potential just from that game. And not only us — experts and fans too. We scored goals and were in the right positions,» van Leeuwen is quoted by the UPL.TV Telegram channel.
