Liverpool’s head coach Arne Slot commented on his team’s loss in the 8th round of the English Championship against Manchester United.
Arne Slot— It is always difficult to play against teams that defend deeply and attack through long passes. It’s even harder when you concede a goal at the start of the match and one of our players goes down on the pitch. If you had told me before the game that we would create so many chances against such a low block, I wouldn’t have believed it. But that’s what happened.
We had enough chances to score more than one goal. However, at the other end of the pitch, we conceded twice, with one of the goals coming from a set-piece. This is a familiar pattern for us. We allowed the opponent to create two or three chances, excluding the goals conceded. Just like in the match against Crystal Palace, we conceded from a set-piece. If the balance is negative in this aspect, it’s hard to win a match, said Arne Slot.
