Dynamo U-19 defender Oleksiy Rybak shared his expectations about the first match of the 2nd round of the UEFA Youth League Champions Path for the 2025/2026 season against the Swedish club Brommapojkarna:
Oleksiy Rybak. Photo: fcdynamo.com— Our team is in good shape, we arrived in Poland, had lunch, and rested. I think we’ve had enough time to recover from the trip. I am recovering from an injury, gradually getting back in shape, everything’s fine.
— Brommapojkarna is a strong Scandinavian team with sturdy, tall players. How prepared are you for this particular opponent?
— I think around 70%. We watched their game before heading out for the match. It’s clear they’re a tough team, with tall, well-built guys. On Tuesday, we’ll have another training session and see how ready we are.
— In your opinion, will playing one match at home and one away be an advantage for the opponent, while Dynamo will essentially play both matches away?
— I don’t know, I think it doesn’t matter to us where we play. We will equally give 100% to achieve results.
— In your opinion, what is key in such two-legged confrontations?
— I believe the most important thing is to give all your strength on the field in both matches, playing with maximum commitment throughout all 180 minutes.
— How well have the young guys adapted to the team? Are they ready for a tournament of this level?
— I think they are ready. We, the older guys born in 2006 and 2007, talk to them and help them adapt better. I think everything will go well.
