FC «Lisne» from the Kyiv region, which looked like a very ambitious project at the beginning of the season, is now in a state of agony, as it is essentially living out its last days as a professional club. On the weekend, Vadym Melnyk’s team did not travel to the match of the 14th round of the Second League against 'Uzhhorod'. On October 24th, «Lisne», which is not even training (!), is set to host 'Bukovyna-2' on its own field.
Midfielder of FC «Lisne» Denys Harmash talked about the state of affairs in his team ahead of this match.
Denys Harmash. Photo — FC «Lisne»— Denys, without preludes, I’ll ask directly and frankly, are you and the rest of the guys from FC «Lisne» ready to play against «Bukovyna-2», or should we expect the game to be called off?
— We’ll come out, we’ll play. So far, everything is fine.
— Fine, meaning the club’s management found a financial way to motivate you?
— No. They didn’t motivate us in any way. We just decided with the guys and the coach — to come out and play on Friday.
— And what about the management, are they silent about the future of the club?
— They haven’t said anything yet, they’re silent.
— How about the salary debt payments?
— Well... No way, it’s silent.
— So, you’re playing enthusiastically?
— We play for our own pleasure.
— Recently, your former head coach Oleksandr Riabokoni took over a much more solid club than FC «Lisne», Kyiv’s «Left Bank». Didn’t he call you over?
— No. You know, I won’t go to «Left Bank», we haven’t talked to Riabokoni about this topic.
— Why is that? Do you feel like there might not be enough strength for the First League?
— It’s not interesting, and I still have the strength. I just don’t want to.
