«Dynamo» started the match extremely actively and aggressively, and this quickly paid off. In the 15th minute, Buyalskyi delivered a corner from the right flank, and Popov, rushing in from deep, headed the ball roughly from the line of the goal area into the far top corner of Kryvbas’s goal — 1:0.
Ten minutes later, Dynamo built on their success: after a free-kick delivered near Kryvbas’s goal, there was a bit of a scramble, the ball bounced off the heads of players from both teams, eventually falling to the unmarked Karavaev, who volleyed the ball from close range to double the score — 2:0.
But Shovkovskyi’s charges didn’t stop there: in the 32nd minute, Kabaev took the ball into his own hands, broke into Kryvbas’s penalty area slightly to the right of the central zone, played to Yarmolenko, received a spectacular backheel pass, carried the ball to the byline, and then passed into the goal area to the same Yarmolenko, who effortlessly scored, making it 3:0.
Furthermore, at the end of the first half, the score nearly became a rout — this was Brazhko, who received a pass from Yarmolenko in the central zone, broke into the penalty area and struck powerfully — Kemkin managed to deflect it for a corner with great effort. Also worth noting is Yarmolenko’s trademark curling shot, which Kryvbas’s goalkeeper was prepared for.
In the second half, Kryvbas slightly improved ball possession, but this did not globally affect anything — Dynamo still fully controlled the game. And in the 63rd minute of the match, Kyiv again came close to success: Kabaev made an excellent shot from the penalty area line, and the ball whistled just over Kemkin’s crossbar. Soon after, from roughly the same spot, Karavaev shot and hit the crossbar. Finally, Buyalskyi made a stunning shot from about 14 meters, drawing applause from the stands, — just over the goal.
And in the stoppage time of the second half, Guerrero broke into the penalty area from the right and sent the ball into the far bottom corner of Kryvbas’s goal, putting the seal on the match — 4:0, a resounding victory for the «blue and white» team.
After the 10th round of the UPL, «Dynamo» shares second and third places in the standings with Cherkasy’s LNZ, trailing the leading «Shakhtar» by one point.
In the next, 11th, round, «Dynamo» awaits an away match against «Shakhtar,» which will take place next Sunday, November 2, in Lviv at the Arena Lviv stadium (starting at 18:00). But before that, the «blue and white» and «miners» will face off in the Ukrainian Cup 1/8 finals. This match will take place next Wednesday, October 29, in Kyiv at the Dynamo Stadium named after Valeriy Lobanovskyi (starting at 18:00).
