Former Spanish Barcelona defender Dani Alves, who was in prison on rape charges, has become a preacher at the Elim Evangelical Church in Girona, reports AS.

In addition, at some point, Alves began sharing biblical verses and religious images on his social media. His Instagram bio, among other things, states: “Disciple of Jesus Christ.”
Recall that Alves ended up in prison in January 2023 on rape charges. A year later, the footballer was sentenced to 4.5 years of imprisonment, and a month later he was released on bail of 1 million euros. Finally, in March 2025, the Criminal Chamber of the Catalonia Court found Alves not guilty.
