According to OptaFranz, this victory marked Bayern’s 14th consecutive win at the start of the season across all competitions. No team from Europe’s five top leagues has started a season with such a perfect winning streak.

Under the guidance of Vincent Kompany, Bayern scored 51 goals and conceded only ten in these 14 matches. Munich’s leader Harry Kane scored a double against Cologne, bringing his tally to 25 goals in 14 matches.
