A product of Dynamo Kyiv’s youth system, 18-year-old forward Dmytro Bogdanov made his debut for his club’s first team last Wednesday: the Ukrainian came on as a substitute in the middle of the second half of the German Cup round of 32 match against Arminia (2:1) and made an assist that led to the winning goal.
Union’s head coach Steffen Baumgart shared his opinion on Bogdanov.
Dmytro Bogdanov prepares to come on as a substitute in his first match for Union«I had a feeling that Bogdanov could have been brought on in the previous match because he has significantly progressed in his training process.
Bogdanov, after coming on as a substitute, showed good gameplay. Of course, he still needs to progress, but we are glad to have such a young player,» Berliner Kurier quotes Baumgart.
Let’s recall that since joining Union in August of this year, Bogdanov has already scored 9 goals for the youth team of his new club, including two hat-tricks.
