On Sunday, November 2, the second Ukrainian «classic» of the week will take place — «Dynamo» will face «Shakhtar».

Among the current «orange and black» players, few have scored against «Dynamo.» Forward Lassina Traore scored the most goals — two.

«Dynamo»
The top scorer of the classic matchup for «Dynamo» is Andriy Yarmolenko — with 8 goals to his name. He scored his first goal against the «miners» on November 21, 2009, setting the final score of that match at 3:0.
Yarmolenko then scored once in both matches of the 2012/13 season (he was the sole scorer for Kyiv’s team, who lost both games) and scored twice in the 2016/17 season, clinching the winning goal in the game (Kyiv’s team overcame «Shakhtar» in Kharkiv with a score of 3:2).
Yarmolenko scored three more goals against «Shakhtar» in the national Cup — in the 1/8 finals of the 2011/12 season (Kyiv’s team lost 2:3).
The «Dynamo» leader also distinguished himself in two recent encounters between «Dynamo» and «Shakhtar» in the Ukrainian Cup. He opened the score in the final of the 2024/25 Ukrainian Cup, where Kyiv’s team lost in a penalty shootout, and also initiated the comeback in the 1/8 finals of this season, which took place this Wednesday.
The first goal in the classic, and the winning goal in this match, was scored by the «white-and-blues» Panamanian forward Eduardo Guerrero.
