Former FC Karpaty Lviv midfielder Ihor Khudobyak shared his prediction for the Conference League match between Dynamo and Zrinski, advising Kyiv to play in the same spirit as they did in the second half of the cup match against Shakhtar.
Ihor Khudobyak— There are, of course, concerns for Dynamo after the recent matches. The team looked very uncertain in the Conference League. Moreover, Kyiv recently lost an important match against Shakhtar. I don’t know, it’s hard to say what the situation is with Dynamo now. Naturally, they are more focused on the Ukrainian Premier League. But perhaps, these two games with Shakhtar have even motivated the team — they started playing more aggressively. Maybe they’ll latch onto this confidence, onto the quality of the game. And perhaps, things will start going well for Dynamo.
It will not be easy to emotionally switch after such matches, but this is also a chance for the team to play brightly, achieve results, and regain positive emotions. I do not expect significant rotation since Dynamo’s bench is not that big. We should also look at Yarmolenko’s physical and psychological state — maybe now he’s more ready to come on as a substitute.
I think Dynamo should take a cue from the second half of the cup match against Shakhtar. It’s precisely for that game, for those emotions, and the desire to win that they need to latch onto. If Kyiv can show the same level, they’ll win. My forecast is a Dynamo win, 2−1, — said Khudobyak.
