Legendary AC Milan forward Andriy Shevchenko shared his thoughts on the decision to demolish the famous San Siro stadium.
Andriy Shevchenko«Playing at San Siro is emotions and rich history. My connection with San Siro started when I was 14 years old and played in a youth tournament as part of Kyiv Dynamo. As soon as I entered there, I felt something really special. I love San Siro. The fans make it unique. But I see this as an important step forward for the future of AC Milan and Italian football as a whole.
Design will be a key factor because if you respect the traditions and heritage of the San Siro stadium and the legends who played there, you won’t lose its essence. One can create something truly positive, as nothing lasts forever,» Shevchenko said in an interview with the BBC.
