News from the camp of one of Dynamo Kyiv’s opponents in the main stage of the Conference League. Italian Fiorentina, which last Tuesday fired its head coach Stefano Pioli, has announced the name of the new coach: it is Paolo Vanoli.
Paolo VanoliIt is reported that this 53-year-old specialist signed a contract with the «Viola» until the end of the current season with an option to extend for another year.
Vanoli’s last club was Torino, which he coached from the summer of 2024 to the summer of 2025. Before that, the specialist worked with Venezia and Moscow’s Spartak.
Recall that Fiorentina is completely failing the season in the Italian championship: in 10 tournament matches, the team from Florence has not managed to win even once (4 draws, 6 losses) and is currently at the bottom of the Serie A standings. As for the main stage of the Conference League, Fiorentina has victories over Czech Sigma (2—0) and Vienna Rapid (3—0), but suffered a defeat from German Mainz (1−2).
Dynamo will play against Fiorentina in the 5th round of the main stage of the Conference League. This match will take place on December 11 in Florence.
