A product of Dynamo Kyiv’s academy, forward Bogdan Popov, who is currently playing for Italian club Empoli, played another match for his current team, but will likely not consider it a success.
Bogdan PopovThe 18-year-old Ukrainian made the starting lineup for Empoli’s match against Catanzaro in Serie B yesterday, but didn’t even play a full half. In the 31st minute, Popov received his first caution (for a slide tackle on the goalkeeper), and 13 minutes later, he received a second, which automatically resulted in a red card and ejection.
Fortunately for the forward, Empoli, despite being a man down, managed to secure a 1—0 victory.
It should be noted that in the current season, Popov has played 12 matches for Empoli and scored 5 goals.
