The director of Dynamo Kyiv’s medical department, Andriy Shmorgun, participated in an exceptional and interesting event — the sixth summit of the institute of the prominent Spanish specialist, orthopedic surgeon, and traumatologist Ramon Cugat. The congress lasted two days and was attended by about 100 participants — specialists from various countries, local students, physiotherapists, and more.

— The medical summit was held at Ramon Cugat’s institute, who is a leading specialist in sports medicine, particularly in knee joint reconstruction. The main issue discussed at this conference was the conservative treatment of the knee’s anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments. Very interesting techniques were presented from different corners of Europe and the world. Even American specialists from the Boston Institute attended.
We thus obtained very useful material that can be applied in sports medicine in Ukraine. Furthermore, there are already results where this method has been successfully applied. However, of course, certain conditions of the injury are necessary.
There was also a meeting with Professor Ramon, during which we discussed some treatment issues. Additionally, he presented an autobiographical book and gave us several copies, which is very interesting. So we continue to maintain relations with this institute.
I would like to note that a physiotherapist from Girona was present at the summit — he made a presentation on the conservative treatment of anterior cruciate ligaments. Through him, we sent greetings to our boys.
