On Saturday, November 15, Kyiv’s «Dynamo U-19» hosted the peers from Rivne’s «Veres» at their home field in the framework of the 16th round of the Ukrainian Championship (U-19).

From the first minutes, the initiative and control on the soccer field were on the side of Igor Kostiuk’s wards. In particular, Pavlo Lyusin made a dangerous cross, forcing Kharechko to deflect the ball to a corner. In response, «Veres» players made a cross from a free kick, after which Vyacheslav Surkis successfully punched it out with his fists. Additionally, Maksym Korobov cleared the ball with his head from the penalty area after Ihor Boychuk’s cross.
In the 18th minute, Ivan Andrei independently created a goal-scoring moment. The winger of our team intercepted the ball from an opponent and entered «Veres’s» penalty area. Unfortunately, at the moment of the strike, the ball slipped off Andrei’s foot and went past the goal.
«Veres» players attempted to play tightly in defense, creating difficulties for «Dynamo’s» attacking line. theless, the hosts continued to create chances. In particular, Andrei had another opportunity, but this time the ball flew over the goal.
In the 29th minute, «Dynamo» delivered their first shot on target against «Veres». The author was Vladyslav Ozymay, who struck from outside the penalty area.
Soon, the hosts were awarded a penalty—Matviy Ponomarenko earned it after a foul by an opponent. The Kyiv center-forward converted the penalty in the 33rd minute. Ponomarenko increased his record goal tally at the U19 Championship/National League U-19 level—this was his 49th goal.
At the end of the first half, Denys Dykyi swiftly entered «Veres’s» penalty area but found himself one-on-one with opponents and couldn’t continue the attack. Soon, the visitors twice crossed into the «White-Blue’s» penalty area, but they were unsuccessful.
Throughout the second half, the Kyiv team continued to attack and strike. Near the end of the match, «Dynamo» got a second penalty kick after Boychuk fouled Lyusin. Lyusin converted the penalty himself, doubling «Dynamo’s» advantage.
However, «Veres» managed to pull one back. In the 88th minute, Dmytro Murashko successfully completed a cross and scored «Veres’s» first goal. A few minutes later, Surkis saved the goal in a dangerous moment—Maksym Pillypey struck from close range.
In the last seconds of the match, the visitors gained a free kick—during the cross, Murashko managed to get into an advantageous position and score a second time, taking the victory away from «Dynamo».
The match ended in a draw between «Dynamo» and «Veres» with a score of 2:2. Currently, «Dynamo» is in second place in the U-19 National League standings, with 29 points.
