The Ukrainian U-19 youth team (players born in 2007 and younger) played their third and final match in the Euro 2026 qualifying round.

Recall, in the first match, Dmytro Mykhailenko’s team confidently defeated Albania (3:0), and in the second, overcame Montenegro U-19 with the same score — 3:0. After these victories, the «blue and yellows» prematurely secured a place in the elite round, which will take place next spring. Meanwhile, in the concluding group stage match, Ukrainians and Slovaks had to determine the group winner. Our coaching staff did not change the lineup compared to the previous game.
The first half was competitive, but the Ukrainians were sharper and much more effective. Both first goals came from set pieces. In the 17th minute, Bohdanov, after a corner from the right flank, sent the ball in a loop into the top corner from about seven meters with a header. And in the 33rd minute, Dihtiar doubled the score — again from a corner delivery, this time heading in from the near edge of the goalkeeper’s area into the crossbar — 0:2.
Before the break, Kamensky skillfully passed several opponents and delivered a pass to Popov. Our striker secured his position, controlled the ball, and a Slovak defender, in an attempt to intervene, inadvertently put it into his own net — 0:3.
In the second half, the teams exchanged lively attacks, but the score remained unchanged. The Ukraine U-19 team secured their third consecutive convincing «clean» victory — 3:0 — and finished the group stage in first place with maximum results.
