Taking the opportunity, the Ukrainian Association of Football expressed its gratitude for their careers with the Ukrainian national team to former defender and forward of the blue-and-yellows — Artem Fedetskyi and Yevhen Seleznyov, respectively.
Yevhen Seleznyov and Artem FedetskyiUAF President Andriy Shevchenko and UAF Vice-President Oleksandr Shevchenko presented the ex-national team players with commemorative jerseys at the Legia Stadium in Warsaw, on which the number of matches each played for the Ukrainian national team was inscribed.
Yevhen Seleznyov debuted for the country’s main team on May 24, 2008, in a friendly match against the Netherlands, which took place in Rotterdam and ended with the hosts' victory (4:0). In total, the forward played 58 matches for the blue-and-yellows, scoring 11 goals.
Artem Fedetskyi’s first match for the Ukrainian national team took place on May 25, 2010: in a friendly match held in Kharkiv, the blue-and-yellows defeated Lithuania — 4:0. During his career, the defender played 53 matches for the national team and scored two goals.
