The head coach of AC Milan, Massimiliano Allegri, shared his thoughts on the victory in the match against Inter, which took place as part of the 12th round of the Italian Championship.
Massimiliano Allegri— It’s a brilliant victory, a spectacular match. In the first 15 minutes, we were somewhat constrained, but then we opened up and created four or five chances where we could have made better decisions in the final third — especially when it came to timely bringing Pulisic and Saelemaekers forward.
We needed to be more precise with our crosses. In the second half, when we scored, it became clear that Inter would go on the attack. We had great chances when Leão went one-on-one. We set up the defense wisely thanks to preventive marking — this is a key moment in matches against Inter, which becomes deadly dangerous as soon as it breaks through the first press, said Massimiliano Allegri.
We add that after 12 rounds, AC Milan occupies the second position with 25 points. Inter is in 4th place with 24 points.
