— The mood is good, we are ready to play. I think the team is prepared. We had a training session — the weather conditions are a bit off, it’s very cold. But it’s okay, it won’t stop us, and we will play as always.
— Due to the snow, you had to train on a synthetic pitch, but the match against Hibernian will be on a natural field. How much more challenging could this be?
— We were supposed to train on grass, but couldn’t because of the snow. We still had to have a training session, and the only available surface was synthetic. We tried to avoid duels, played with clean balls to prevent injury. I think if the field is cleared, we’ll go train on grass. If not, we’ll prepare again on the synthetic field.
— Recently, you were with the Ukraine U19 national team and scored goals in two matches. How inspired are you by these matches on the international stage? Are you ready to score in the next game and repeat last season’s achievement in the UEFA Youth League?
— The desire is even greater than last year because after the disqualification, I must deliver results, at least try. I did my job with the national team. It’s good that I scored, and we progressed further.
— What can you say about your upcoming opponent — Hibernian?
— We watched theory back in Kyiv. Hibernian is a good team, physically strong. We studied their tactics, will continue watching, and will analyze.
— What is the team’s strategy for the two-legged confrontation?
— We are not counting on a penalty shootout. We are counting only on victory. We will try to win tomorrow because psychologically it is a relief before the trip to Scotland. We will play only to win.
