The Ukrainian Football Association, together with regional associations, announces the start of a nationwide seminar series on the topic «Philosophy and Methodology of the Manchester City Academy.»
Photo: UAFThe UAF will hold seminars in each region of Ukraine, providing domestic coaches with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the principles of one of the strongest and most progressive football academies in the world.
Each participant will be able to acquire modern knowledge that will contribute to the development of youth and women’s football at the local and national levels.
To participate in the seminar, we ask coaches to contact their regional football associations.
Let us recall that in January of this year, 20 Ukrainian coaches underwent training within the system of one of the most successful clubs in the world — Manchester City. This was made possible by the cooperation between the Ukrainian Football Association and the English club, which was officially secured in the summer of 2024.
A selection process was open for Ukrainian coaches to join the training program. Anyone interested could apply. Candidates were selected based on the following criteria: possession of a UEFA C, B, or A coaching license, experience working with youth teams, and the ability to implement innovations in the training process in Ukraine.
During the training period, Ukrainian coaches had the opportunity to immerse themselves in Man City’s modern football philosophy, familiarize themselves with the training methodologies of the club academy, and visit training bases for both children’s teams and the main squad. Now, they will disseminate the acquired knowledge to Ukrainian regions.
