Today marks the birthdays of several notable individuals who have closely tied their lives to football:
Roman YaremchukRoman Yaremchuk (1995) — Ukrainian footballer, forward for Olympiacos and the Ukrainian national team. He started learning football at the age of six at the Karpaty school. In 2007, he continued his education at the Dynamo Kyiv academy. After completing his studies in the summer of 2012, Yaremchuk signed with Dynamo. On March 1, 2016, Yaremchuk made his debut for Dynamo’s first team, starting in the lineup for the Ukrainian Cup quarter-final match against Oleksandriya (1:1). He previously also played for Gent and Benfica.
Benjamin Verbič (1993) — Slovenian footballer, former midfielder for Dynamo. He was developed at the Celje club. In April 2015, he signed a four-year contract with Copenhagen. He debuted in the Danish Superliga in the very first round on July 26, playing against Esbjerg. On December 23, 2017, he signed a five-year deal with Dynamo Kyiv. He currently plays for Levadiakos.
