Kyiv Dynamo won’t be able to count on several key players in the upcoming main round match of the Conference League against Omonia.
According to former journalist Ihor Burbas, aside from the previously injured Andriy Yarmolenko and Christian Bilovar, Volodymyr Brazhko and Mykola Shaparenko also have health issues.
Recall, the Omonia vs Dynamo encounter will take place on Thursday, November 27. The match starts at 19:45 Kyiv time.

Ex-Dnipro goalkeeper Mykola Medin recalled his former team’s battle with Kyiv’s Dynamo for the gold medals in the 1992/93 Ukrainian championship.

As already reported, the main referee for tomorrow’s 4th round match of the Conference League’s main stage between Cypriot Omonia and Kyiv’s Dynamo will be Bulgarian Radoslav Gidzhenov.
This 34-year-old referee has been officiating international matches since 2022 and has so far worked in only 9 European cup matches (4 in the main stage of the Conference League, 4 in the Conference League qualifications, 1 in the Champions League qualification). In total, the Bulgarian has officiated 29 international matches (both at the club and national team levels) in his career so far.
This is Gidzhenov’s first appointment for a match involving a Ukrainian club, but in November 2024, he officiated a European Under-19 Championship qualification match between the Under-19 teams of Ukraine and Slovenia, which ended with a 1:0 victory for Slovenia.
In the same season, the Bulgarian worked on a home European cup match for Omonia against Polish Legia (0:3) in the main stage of the Conference League.
It should be added that Gidzhenov can be considered a fairly strict referee: he shows an average of 5 yellow cards per match. The Bulgarian resorts to direct dismissals approximately in every 9th match.

Renowned commentator Ihor Tsyhanyk shared what he expects from tomorrow’s match of the 4th round of the Conference League main stage between Cypriot Omonia and Dynamo Kyiv.
— Dynamo has already played in Cyprus this year (against Pafos, 0:2, during the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League, — ed.). It will not be easy. Omonia is not the same team as Pafos, which is currently showing decent performance in the main stage of the Champions League. Nevertheless, playing against Omonia will be very difficult for Dynamo because after matches like against Kolos (1:2) or LNZ (0:1), confidence disappears. And a certain period of time is needed to regain this confidence.
So I believe that Dynamo is facing a very tough game. It will be very difficult for the Dynamo players to count on a victory, but for some reason, I am convinced that they won’t lose either, — said Tsyhanyk on his YouTube channel.
