Metallist Kharkiv announced two personnel appointments on its official website.
So, after the departure of the team's coach Oleksandr Kucher, who will now coach Dnipro-1, Oleksandr Prizetko, who had previously been one of the members of the team's coaching staff, was appointed acting head coach of Metalist.
- Dnipro-1 invited Oleksandr Kucher due to the sudden departure of his ex-trainer Igor Yovichevich to Shakhtar Donetsk. The Dnipro club was forced to urgently look for a new coach who could quickly start preparing the team for the debut in European competitions.
Under these conditions, Dnepr-1 was ready to offer solid compensation for the transfer of a quality specialist, which, of course, is Oleksandr Kucher. Given that the funds received from the transfer of the head coach can be used for the development of the football club, Metalist decided to let Oleksandr Kucher go, Metalist said in a statement.
In addition, Vasily Kobin has been appointed sports director of the Kharkiv club.
