Markevych could head Shakhtar in case of refusal of Jovicevic

Well-known Ukrainian coach Myron Markevich could become the head coach of Shakhtar Donetsk in case the Pitmen failed to agree on cooperation with Ihor Jovičevich, who, as we recall, was officially announced today as the Pitmen's head coach.

Miron Markevich

According to well-known Ukrainian journalist Ihor Tsyganyk, if Jovičević had refused to give up Shakhtar, Markevych would have been the next candidate for Shakhtar's coach.

At the same time, according to a source, his son Ostap, known for his work with Mariupol, would have worked in Markevich's headquarters at Shakhtar.

The next candidate - after Markevich - was Yuriy Vernydub, who, as you know, headed the Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih.
