The first batch of Australian M113AS4 armored personnel carriers is already on its way to Ukraine

Ukraine continues to receive the most diverse military assistance from countries around the world. The next reinforcement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be received from Australia in the very near future.

As Ambassador of this country to Ukraine Bruce Edwards said on his Twitter, the first batch of Australian M113AS4 armored personnel carriers is already on its way to Ukraine.

“In total, Australia has provided A$285 million worth of military assistance to Ukraine,” Edwards added, attaching a photo of the loading of M113AS4 armored personnel carriers for shipment to Ukraine.

M113AS4 is an Australian modification of the American M113 armored personnel carrier, created in 2007. The vehicle received reinforced armor and new weapons: instead of a machine gun, the armored personnel carrier received a small turret equipped with a 12.7 mm M2HB-QCB heavy machine gun.
