Ukrainian fans, who on July 20 were present at the stands of the LKS stadium in the Polish city of Lodz during the first match of the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League between Dynamo Kyiv and Turkish Fenerbahce (0:0), raised a banner with words of gratitude to Turkey for the Bayratkar attack drones provided to Ukraine.
Even before the start of the military invasion of the Russian Federation, Ukraine purchased about 50 Bayratkars. And in the first months of the war, these drones became real legends of the war, destroying in large quantities the military equipment of the Russian army and its manpower. Ukrainians even dedicate a song to this Turkish drone.
In the course of the war, Ukraine increased the number of Bayratkars in the service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, a certain number of such drones were handed over to the Ukrainian army by volunteers.
The Bayratkar (original name - Bayraktar TB2) is a Turkish strike operational-tactical unmanned aerial vehicle that carries four guided munitions under its wings, each of which is capable of hitting a target located at a distance of up to 8 km. You can control these drones even from a distance of 150 km. The autonomous flight time of Bayratkar can be up to a day. The maximum speed of such a UAV is 200 km/h, and it can rise up to 8 km in height.
