Ex-defender of Dynamo Kyiv Vladislav Vashchuk shared his impressions of the first match of his former team against Turkish Fenerbahce (0:0) in the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League, and also assessed the prospects of the White-Blues in the second leg.
- Dynamo started in the European Cups against the background of the fact that the team had not played in the Ukrainian championship for a long time and did not have proper preparation. There is war in the country and it is very difficult for the guys to play. The preparation was within the framework of charity matches, where the motivation is completely different, let's say. It's hard, of course. The game tone is a bit off.
But, nevertheless, the people of Kiev played 0:0. Dynamo players had some moments. The Kyiv team did not lose the first match, and this is normal.
What are the chances of the Kyivans in the second meeting? There are always chances. If there is no chance, then what is the point of playing?
But how the match will turn out is hard to say. Fenerbahce is a serious team that plays better at home than away. Therefore, let's see how ours will hold out and how quickly they will recover after the first game.
But still, it will be a different fight, let's put it this way. Let's see. I hope for a positive result for Dynamo. I would like them to move on. Points are needed both for Ukraine and for the club. Also, these are separate bonuses for the club, which will not interfere in the current situation,” Vashchuk said.
