Spezia agreed with Atalanta on the return of Viktor Kovalenko to the team, Calcio Spezia reports, citing Il Secolo XIX.
The transfer of the midfielder is already a completed business. This is a lease with an option to purchase for 2 million euros, payable over two years.
The buyout will become mandatory if the player plays at least 65% of the matches.
The 26-year-old Ukrainian can join the team as early as Monday, July 25.
Earlier it was reported that for a full-fledged transition to Spezia, Kovalenko could take a pay cut, since 2 million euros after taxes is an unattainable amount for Spezia.
