Former defender of the Ukrainian national team Artem Fedetsky in an interview "TEAM1" shared his expectations from the Ukrainian championship next season.
- In your opinion, will it be possible to hold a full-fledged championship in Ukraine?
- I really want to hope so. Much will depend on the events taking place in our country. There is a war going on and the situation can change every day. We will believe that the leadership of the UAF, together with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, will make the participants of the competition feel safe. The main thing is that the tournament starts, because it is very important not only for ordinary people, but also for the teams playing in European competitions, for the national teams of Ukraine.
- Can the upcoming season become the most unpredictable since independence?
“Maybe anything. It is important that clubs do not disappear from the country's football map. As for the favorites, in my opinion, the three teams that will set the tone in the championship are Dynamo, Shakhtar and Dnipro-1.
- How much will the UPL level fall due to the current situation in the country?
- Of course, it will be lower, but in our case it does not matter. These are the realities now. The main thing is that security measures are at a high level and the championship still starts. And when the war ends, I am sure that Ukrainian football will return to its best examples.
