Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, Barcelona president Joan Laporta and Juventus president Andrea Agnelli met in Las Vegas to discuss the European Super League project, FCBN reports.
According to the source, the club leaders discussed what changes should be made to the project in order to revive the tournament.
Recall that on April 19, 2021, 12 clubs announced the creation of the Super League. However, after protests from fans and the threat of sanctions from the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), the project was suspended.
In April, a commercial court in Madrid lifted measures that prevented UEFA and the International Football Federation (FIFA) from imposing sanctions on clubs planning to create a new tournament.
