On Sunday, July 24, the youth team of Dynamo Kyiv (U-19) played the second match at the CEE Cup 2022 international tournament taking place in Prague. This time, the local Slavia became the rival of the White-Blues.

In the first round, both teams defeated the English Aston Villa (Dynamo won a minimal victory thanks to a Kremchanin goal from a penalty kick, and Slavia won with a score of 2: 1), so the fate of leadership in the group and reaching the final was decided in the reporting meeting.

Tournament CEE Cup 2022

"Slavia U-19" (Prague, Czech Republic) — Dynamo U-19 (Kyiv, Ukraine) - 2:2 (0:2)
Goals: Dufek (54), Hayek (56) — Slesar (33), Yatsyk (38)

"Dynamo": Pogorily, Gusev (Tsylyk, 71), Filatov, Bol (Balaba, 57), Benedyuk, Salenko (Groholsky, 47), Yatsyk (K), Tsarenko, Slesar (Matkevich, 41), Kremchanin (Vasilec, 60), Dzen ( Gorbach, 50).

Compared to yesterday's match against Aston Villa, the head coach of the Dynamo team, Igor Kostyuk, made three changes in the starting lineup: today, from the first minutes, attacking players Kremchanin and Dzen came out instead of Matkevich and Gorbach, and not Avramenko, but Pogoriy took the place at the gate.

Having seized the initiative from the start of the match, Dynamo actually did not allow the hosts to cross the center of the field. However, things rarely came to sharpness at the gates of Slavia, although the people of Kiev actively attacked using both flanks.

In the 10th minute, Kremchanin burst into Slavia's penalty area with the left flank and powerfully shot on goal - if the opponent's player had not rushed under the ball, Dynamo could well have taken the lead. Later, Kremchanin was already on the opposite flank, from where he shot into the penalty area, but none of the partners managed to catch this pass. A few minutes later, the same Kremchanin was on the rebound after a hit by Dzen and a rebound from the defenders, but shot wide of the goal. The best player of the match against Aston Villa, Tsarenko, could have scored as well - after his shot from a long distance, the ball flew over the crossbar.

From the middle of the first half, Slavia players began to meet Dynamo higher and managed to break through to the Pogorily goal several times. However, for a long time they also failed to create scoring chances - one can only note a long-range low shot from the captain of Slavia Lopatar, however, the Dynamo goalkeeper controlled the situation at that moment.

In the 33rd minute, the White-Blues took the lead - Tsarenko made a cross from the right flank into the penalty area, where Slesar closed the pass from the goalkeeper's line in touch.

Yatsyk could immediately develop an advantage, but Slavia goalkeeper Tomas reacted to his shot from an acute angle. The second attempt turned out to be effective for the Dynamo captain - in the last minutes of the first half, after Benedyuk's cross from the left, Yatsyk picked up the ball near the 11-meter mark and accurately shot it into the far corner. The teams went to the break with the score 2:0 in favor of Kiev, although in the last seconds of stoppage time the Czechs created their best moment of the first 40 minutes. Randazu broke through on the left flank and shot to the center from the front line, but his partner flew past the ball.

Already in the debut of the second half, Dynamo had a similar episode, but Benedyuk's cross was not completed. Groholsky didn’t dispose of the ball either, who, having just come on as a substitute, ran out one on one with the goalkeeper of Slavia.

Closer to the equator of the half, the representatives of Prague managed to unexpectedly equalize the score and return the intrigue to the match. Within two minutes, Jakub Dufek and David Hayek took advantage of two gaps in the center of the Dynamo defense, alternately beating Anton Bol and hitting Pogorily's goal.

Dynamo played the decisive minutes of the match with the ball and even scored for the third time, however, this goal by Tsarenko was not counted due to offside by Anton. So the final whistle fixed the score 2:2, which, according to additional indicators, brought the Brazilian Palmeiras, Slavia Prague to the final, where the opponent was already waiting for the opponent.

Dynamo, in turn, will play in the match for third place, which will take place on July 26 at the Stadion Admira Praha (beginning at 12:15 Kyiv time). The rival of Kiev in this match will be another representative of Prague - Sparta.
