Chelsea are increasingly confident of signing Brighton defender Marc Cucurella, 90min reports.
The Londoners agreed to pay 50 million euros for the 24-year-old footballer, which Brighton wants to receive. The parties are in the final stage of negotiations. The Spaniard has already expressed his desire to be part of Chelsea, so the player's personal contract will not be a problem.
Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel continues to look to strengthen the team's defensive line. The Blues have recently missed out on Matthijs de Ligt and Jules Kunde, so a move for Cucurella would be a great step in that direction. The Londoners are also in talks with Leicester about Wesley Fofan.
