Ex-defender of Dynamo Kyiv Vladislav Vashchuk shared his forecast for the confrontation between his former team and the Austrian Sturm in the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League.
“There are always chances. I want Dynamo to win this meeting and, based on the results of two meetings, advance to the next qualifying round, and then to the Champions League. Such an achievement will be psychologically important for the whole country. It will also be a financially important moment for the Kyiv club.
Yes, before the face-to-face match, Sturm beat Salzburg (2:1) in the Austrian championship, and Dynamo lost to Everton (0:3) in a friendly match. But I don’t think that this sparring of the Kiev team needs to be somehow focused on. These are completely different matches. And Sturm, of course, has a good team. The Austrians are in a game tone. And they seem to have a good selection of players. The Sturm team looks normal.
