West Ham manager David Moyes has reacted to midfielder Jesse Lingard's move to Nottingham Forest. The Hammers offered the 29-year-old footballer a long-term contract, but the parties could not come to an agreement.
“Yes, I was surprised. I thought that Lingard would return to West Ham. I know that the club made him a very attractive offer. The owners did everything possible to make this transfer happen," Moyes was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
We will remind. that Lingard spent six months at West Ham on loan. During this time, he participated in 16 matches, in which he scored nine goals and provided five assists.
