The head coach of the Austrian Sturm, Christian Ilzer, commented on the draw in his team's yesterday's match with Ried (1:1) in the 3rd round of the Austrian championship.
“Extremely annoying. This is a clear loss of two points. (“Sturm” in the match with “Reid” led 1:0 from the 11th to the 78th minute of the meeting, and then conceded a goal from the penalty spot, ed.).
I am satisfied with the performance of my wards. I have rarely seen a team dominate the way Sturm demonstrated today. But we didn't create enough chances to score more than one goal. We were not specific enough in the final phase of our attacks. Even being in the majority (from the 61st minute of the match - ed.), we didn’t do enough in the attacking phase,” Ilzer said after the match with Reed.
As a reminder, Sturm is a rival of Dynamo Kyiv in the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League. The first match between these teams took place last Wednesday and ended with a 1-0 victory for the Kyivans, and next Tuesday, August 9, the opponents will play the second leg in Graz.
