Referee expert, ex-FIFA referee Miroslav Stupar appreciated the work of Luciano Luci as head of the UAF referees committee.

Luciano Rays

- By our standards, Luchi receives insane money, but there is no result. It is surprising that the management turns a blind eye to this, it probably suits him.

- After the war, Lucha's work is not heard at all. Do you know if he still works in the UAF or not?

- He receives a salary, but sits in Italy. Here is the result. Ukrainians who worked as the head of the arbitrators committee before the Italians received pennies compared to them.

Lucha receives 15 thousand euros a month, while ours received ten (or even more) times less. Why pay such money to a person if there is no result?

- How do you see a way out of the situation?

— I will be categorical! Rays does not need to do anything, he just needs to leave this position and make room for domestic specialists who have passed the path of Ukrainian arbitration.

Moreover, now there are huge opportunities, FIFA and UEFA provide a lot of training resources. There is an alternative to Rays! Pavelko just needs to understand that Luchi has given us nothing.

- Why do you think, after Collina, the leaders of the UAF continue to bend the Italian vector in refereeing?

- I dont know. This is a rather strange trend. Kazakhstan also tried to attract foreigners, but this did not bring any result.

The Italian mentality is different from the Ukrainian one. They cannot adapt to our realities, and our judges cannot understand what they want from them.

The Italians don't even want to adapt to our mentality. Rays for so many years did not even learn our language. This is disrespect for the country where you work!

And we have seized the Italians with their teeth and think that they will help us in some way. Maybe our leaders have their own interest, I don't know.

— Does Collina still have some influence on Ukrainian arbitration?

- Directly on the judges, I think not, but indirectly through the Rays, probably yes.
