Dynamo took the ball under control with the starting whistle, and already in the 5th minute of the meeting created the first scoring chance: Tsygankov broke through on the right flank, from the front line made a discount back to Shaparenko, who shot straight away from 12 meters, and the ball flew over the crossbar of the Sturm goal.

However, the home team also showed perseverance in attack, and scored a couple of very unpleasant shots into the goalkeeper's area, but in these situations Buschan clearly acted at interceptions. And in the 20th minute of the meeting, the goalkeeper of the "white-blues" completely rescued his team from a goal: Hirlender delivered a prepared shot from 25 meters, the ball flew exactly under the crossbar, but Buschan managed to turn the game into a corner kick.

Well, in the 27th minute of the meeting, Sturm still opened the scoring. As a result of Besedin's mistake in the center of the field and the subsequent attack using only four players against the entire defense of Dynamo, Heilunn received a pass in the left side of the penalty area and sent the ball into the far corner of the Kiev goal with a biting kick - 1:0.

The guests could even the score in five minutes: Shepelev performed a diagonal from the left flank, on the opposite flank Tsygankov received this pass in the penalty area, extended the combination to Buyalsky, who hit the goal with his head without interference literally from a meter away, but the Dynamo player failed to hit - he I just dropped the ball in front of me and it became the prey of the goalkeeper.

Sturm immediately responded with the most dangerous shot from Hirlender from the penalty area - again Buschan rescued Dynamo in a throw. And shortly before the whistle for a break, Prass already scored a long-range shot, and the ball almost struck the crossbar of the Kiev goal. And with this, the events of the first half were exhausted - it ended with the score 1:0 in favor of the Austrian team.

In the debut of the second half, the teams exchanged dangerous shots from outside the penalty area, but in both cases the goalkeepers played reliably. At Dynamo, Tsygankov kissed the ball, at Sturm - Horvat. In general, the pattern of the game did not change after the break: Dynamo acted as the first number, however, Sturm tried to attack aggressively with each interception of the ball. But only neither the hosts nor the guests created scoring chances in the second half. And only in stoppage time of the second half, Dynamo turned out to be as close as possible to a goal - it was Garmash who headed after a corner, and the ball hit the crossbar of the Sturm goal. But the crossbar is not the target, so, as a result, the match went into overtime.

But already in the first extra half, Dynamo finally equalized the score: in the 97th minute of the meeting, Tsygankov “found” Vivcharenko in the left side of the Sturm penalty area with a filigree pass and he sent the ball between the legs of the goalkeeper of the Austrian team — 1:1.

In the remaining time of the match, Sturm, of course, tried its best to regain its advantage in the score, but did not create anything dangerous at the gates of Buschan. But the people of Kiev managed to build on their success: in the 112th minute, the one-touch three-move Vanat - Buyalsky - Tsygankov ended with a smashing blow from the last 10 meters - 2: 1, the victory of Mircea Lucescu's team.

Thus, according to the sum of two meetings (1:0, 2:1), Dynamo managed to overcome the barrier in the form of "Sturm" and reached the playoff round of the Champions League qualification, where they will play with Lisbon "Benfica". The first match will be nominally home for Dynamo and will take place next week, on August 16, and the second leg will take place on the Benfica field on August 23. Based on the results of this two-legged confrontation, the strongest will receive a ticket to the Champions League group stage, and the loser will continue to fight in the Europa League group stage.
